Tax Preparation FAQs

What documents do I need for tax preparation?

Documents vary by taxpayer, but commonly include:

* A valid government-issued photo ID for each taxpayer
* Social Security cards or acceptable taxpayer-identification documents for everyone listed on
the return
* All W-2, 1099, 1098, K-1, retirement, unemployment, and other income forms
* Childcare, education, health-insurance, and eligible deduction or credit records
* Prior-year tax returns, if available
* Bank routing and account numbers for direct deposit

You may be asked for the dependent’s Social Security card or other taxpayer-identification
document, date of birth, relationship to you, proof of residency, childcare or school records, and
any documents needed to establish eligibility under current tax rules. Providing a dependent’s
information does not automatically mean the dependent qualifies to be claimed.

Yes. Self-employed clients should provide complete income records, Forms 1099, bank or
payment-processor statements, mileage logs, receipts, expense summaries, asset-purchase
information, and other business records. Personal estimates without supporting records may not
be sufficient.

Yes, in many cases. Bring all available tax documents and any IRS or state notices for each
year that needs to be filed. Pricing and processing time may vary by year and complexity.

Yes, when an amendment is appropriate and the necessary records are available. We will need
a complete copy of the originally filed return, supporting documents, and an explanation of what
needs to be corrected. An amended return does not guarantee an additional refund.

Tax-preparation fees depend on the forms required, complexity of the return, condition of the
records, and any additional services requested. Fees will be explained before the return is filed.
Additional charges may apply for bookkeeping, prior-year returns, amended returns, rejected
returns requiring substantial correction, or other work outside the original scope.

When available, eligible clients may be able to use an approved bank product to have
authorized fees deducted from the tax refund. Third-party processing or bank fees may apply.
This option is not available to every client and does not guarantee approval or a refund.

The IRS issues most refunds from accurate, electronically filed returns in fewer than 21 calendar
days, but some returns require additional review and take longer. State refund times vary.
REBORN Financial & Business Services cannot control or guarantee when a taxing authority
releases a refund.

Common causes include incomplete or inconsistent information, identity verification,
refundable-credit reviews, prior tax debt or other government offsets, amended returns,
injured-spouse claims, suspected fraud or identity theft, bank-account errors, and additional IRS
or state review.

Use the IRS “Where’s My Refund?” tool or the IRS2Go mobile app. You will generally need your
Social Security number or ITIN, filing status, and exact refund amount. Our office cannot speed
up a refund once the return has been accepted by the IRS.

If offered during tax season, refund-advance products are provided by a third-party financial
institution and are subject to eligibility, underwriting, approval, and separate terms. An advance
is not your actual IRS refund, and approval or a particular amount is never guaranteed.

No. The amount is an estimate based on the information provided and the tax rules applied at
the time of preparation. The IRS or state may adjust the return, apply an offset, request
additional information, or delay or deny all or part of a refund.

We will review the rejection message and contact you if corrected information or additional
documents are needed. A rejection is not the same as an audit or a denial; it generally means
the return was not accepted for processing in its current form.

Do not ignore it. Upload or provide a complete copy of every page by the stated deadline. We
can review the notice and explain available next steps. Notice responses, representation,
audits, appeals, or work unrelated to the original return may require a separate engagement and
fee.

Yes. You must review the completed return and confirm that all names, Social Security numbers,
income, expenses, dependents, bank information, and other entries are complete and accurate
before signing. You are responsible for supplying truthful, complete, and supportable
information.

Credit Services FAQs

What is credit repair?

Credit repair generally involves reviewing credit reports, identifying information a client believes
may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unverifiable, and assisting with appropriate
disputes and credit education. It is not a promise to erase all negative credit history.

Depending on the facts and documentation, we may review personal-information errors,
duplicate accounts, unfamiliar accounts, incorrect balances or payment histories, outdated
information, mixed-file issues, collections, charge-offs, late payments, inquiries, and
public-record information. An item appearing on a report does not automatically make it
disputable or removable.

No company can legally promise to remove information that is current, accurate, and properly
reported. We assist with information the client has a good-faith reason to believe is inaccurate,
incomplete, outdated, the result of identity theft, not theirs, or otherwise unverifiable under
applicable law.

No. We do not guarantee deletions, score increases, lender approval, or a particular outcome.
Credit bureaus, furnishers, creditors, collectors, scoring companies, and lenders make their own
decisions, and credit scores can change for many reasons.

Timeframes vary. Credit reporting companies generally investigate disputes within the period
allowed by law, but responses, reinvestigations, documentation requests, mail time, and multiple
dispute rounds can extend the process. Credit improvement is usually gradual and depends
heavily on the client’s overall credit activity.

Clients are generally required to provide:
* A valid government-issued photo ID
* Social Security card or other acceptable identity documentation
* Current proof of address
* Complete credit reports or access through the required credit-monitoring service
* Supporting records related to disputed items, when available
* Signed service agreement, disclosures, authorizations, and acknowledgments
Additional documents may be requested. Please upload copies and keep all originals.

An active MyFreeScoreNow account allows authorized access to updated credit-report
information so changes, responses, and progress can be reviewed. The monitoring service is
separate from REBORN’s credit-repair fees and may have its own terms and recurring charges.
Clients are responsible for keeping their monitoring account active while services require it.

After reviewing your reports and supporting records, we may prepare or assist with targeted
disputes concerning information you identify and have a good-faith basis to challenge. Credit
reporting companies or data furnishers investigate and determine whether information will be
verified, corrected, updated, or removed. Additional documentation or follow-up may be
required.

Yes. Federal law gives consumers the right to dispute inaccurate information directly with the
credit reporting companies and the companies that furnished the information, at no cost. Our
service is for clients who choose to receive organized assistance, document support, education,
and follow-up.

No. Disputes must have a good-faith basis. We will not knowingly submit false statements, claim
identity theft that did not occur, create a new credit identity, or challenge information solely
because it is negative.

Yes. You may cancel a credit-repair contract without penalty or obligation within three business
days after signing, as described in your written agreement and Notice of Cancellation. After that
period, any cancellation, earned charges, or remaining obligations will be handled according to
the agreement and applicable law.

No. Credit repair focuses primarily on credit-report information and related education. It does not
automatically negotiate or pay debts, create a debt-management plan, provide a loan, or
replace nonprofit credit counseling, legal advice, or bankruptcy advice.

No. Do not stop making payments or change agreements with creditors solely because you
enrolled in credit services. Continue meeting your obligations unless a creditor, attorney, or
other qualified professional gives you different written instructions.

Avoid unnecessary applications because hard inquiries and new debt can affect your credit
profile. If you are preparing for a major purchase such as a home or vehicle, tell us so we can

provide general education consistent with your goals. Final lending decisions belong to the
lender.

Pay all accounts on time, keep balances manageable, avoid unnecessary new debt, review
statements, maintain current contact information, keep credit monitoring active, provide
requested documents promptly, and notify us of new accounts, collections, identity-theft
concerns, or major credit changes.

Verification means the reporting company or furnisher stated that the information was confirmed
during its investigation. Depending on the circumstances and available evidence, the next step
may be to review the response, provide additional supporting documentation, submit a focused
follow-up, contact the furnisher, or accept that the item will remain.

Not necessarily. Information may be reinserted or re-reported if the source later verifies it and
follows applicable requirements. We cannot guarantee that a removed item will never return.

Unless your written package specifically says otherwise, third-party credit-monitoring charges
are separate and paid directly to the monitoring provider. Review that provider’s terms for
pricing, billing, and cancellation.

Notify us immediately and visit IdentityTheft.gov to create an official recovery plan. You may
also need to place a fraud alert or security freeze, contact affected creditors, file required
reports, and provide identity-theft documentation. We will not submit an identity-theft claim
without the client’s truthful authorization and appropriate basis.
